Grant Fritchey has worked for more than thirty years in IT as a developer and a DBA. He has built systems from the major enterprise to distributed systems to small boutique companies. Grant put three dot.com's to sleep. He writes SQL Server articles for SQL Server Central and SimpleTalk. Mr. Fritchey is the author of multiple books including, SQL Server Execution Plans and SQL Server Query Performance Tuning. Grant is currently serving on the Board of Directors of the PASS organization, a non-profit professional organization for data professionals. He develops and presents complete structured learning plans to teach the Microsoft Data Platform to developers and other IS personnel.
Outside work, Grant has volunteered in various roles with the Boy Scouts of America. He formerly taught at the New England Karate Academy where he attained the rank of sensei. Grant Fritchey is a Past Master at his local Freemason lodge.
